Thursday 11 March

Today was a rather sad day as we remembered Bradley's 20th birthday with a visit to his grave. I may have spoken to some of you about Bradley, a courageous young man who lost his battle with bone cancer last October.

After this Louise and I went to RAF Alconbury to do some grocery shopping. It is now a US base and I had to present my passport to be issued a day pass. It is sad to hear that most of the people stationed at Alconbury never leave the base. They have a theatre, bowling alley, gym and a large grocery store that carries all the items from the US. They are missing out on so much by closing themselves off from the rest of the country. Oh well, their loss.
From Alconbury we returned home to rest up for another assault on Spiceland. I must admit that once again I acquitted myself very well and had to be rolled out to the car.
A small libation was the perfect ending to the day.
